The Canadian Shield Announces Production of Semi-Reusable Face Masks

As part of their growing line of personal protective equipment (PPE) products, The Canadian Shield is introducing Semi-Reusable Face Masks to their 'Made-in-Canada' product portfolio. 

THE SEMI-REUSABLE FACE MASK

The Canadian Shield's Semi-Reusable Face Mask is a breathable, 100% polypropylene face mask made of 3-layers of durable non-woven material which can be washed and reused up to 10 times. Featuring the same great full-coverage design and 100% non-woven polypropylene as traditional medical-grade masks, the Semi-Reusable Face Mask is made with a heavier-weight GSM material allowing for longer-term usage. Compared to regular 3-layer disposable masks with a weight of 75GSM, The Canadian Shield’s Semi-Reusable Face Mask provides superior filtration efficiency and breathability with a weight of 125GSM.

The Canadian Shield's Semi-Reusable Face Mask is an Unrated Face Mask and has NOT been tested or certified to meet ASTM F2100 Standards.

Combined with the fully-adjustable head strap design found on our original Reusable Masks, The Canadian Shield’s Semi-Reusable Face Mask is the perfect choice for anyone looking for a comfortable, breathable and aesthetically-pleasing face mask made with 100% non-woven materials.

The superior filtration efficiency and breathability of non-woven polypropylene, combined with the added GSM weight makes The Canadian Shield Semi-Reusable Face Mask an ideal choice when compared to cotton, polyester or other woven fabric masks. Health Canada has recommended that resusable face masks contain at least one filtration layer of non-woven polypropylene. The Canadian Shield Semi-Reusable Face Mask contains three layers of non-woven polypropylene, instead of just one.

Each 3-layer mask includes a fully-adjustable elastic head strap to eliminate strain on ears, providing comfortable all-day wear. The unique cord-stopper design and nose bridge stiffener ensures a snug and customizable fit around the mouth, chin and nose.
