ABOUT US

Mission

The Canadian Shield is on a mission to create a reliable supply of PPE for all Canadians; invigorating the local manufacturing economy in Canada and reducing reliance on global supply chains.

Vision

The Canadian Shield envisions a future where our nation is no longer reliant on global supply chains — a future where sourcing 100% domestically-made PPE is not only possible, but the economical choice for our government, healthcare institutions and organizations. A future where Canadian-made products are sought after for superior quality and reliability. A future where Canadians keep Canadians safe.

Our values

DOMESTIC SUPPLY & LABOUR

By centralizing materials and machinery in North America, we’re able to revitalize local economies, support local businesses and keep Canadians employed. Our domestic supply chain also allows us to reduce our carbon footprint and environmental impact on the planet.

GIVING BACK

During these challenging times, we feel it is incredibly important to give back - that’s why we’ve been donating personal protective equipment en masse since our company was formed. To date, we’ve donated more than 861,000 face shields to individuals and organizations in need.

MEANINGFUL WORK

At The Canadian Shield, we pride ourselves on offering meaningful, quality work for our employees. That's why our entire production team receives a living-wage that is 30% higher than the local average, and each of our employees enjoy access to a daily meal service on the job.
