Face Mask Selection Guide

About the Mask Selection Guide

Disposable surgical masks may look the same, but there are some very important differences. Unrated masks provide a basic amount of protection from fluid droplets, and are a cost-effective solution for low-risk environments. In environments where more protection is needed against exposure to liquids, including bodily or other hazardous fluids, an ASTM rated mask will be a safer option.

Rated masks come in 3 different levels of protection based on current North American standards. This guide will help you understand the differences between each level, in order to help you choose the mask that best suits your needs.
