As the economy begins to re-open, many Canadians are wondering what measures they can take to protect themselves from COVID-19 in public settings.
According to the Government of Canada, when combined with other preventative measures, personal protective equipment (PPE) can be an additional precaution to protect others around you, even if you have no symptoms. It can be useful for short periods of time, when physical distancing is not possible in public settings, such as grocery shopping or using public transit.
Note: PPE should not be used in replacement of the recommended best practices, including but not limited to proper hand hygiene, physical distancing and sanitization.
Why The Canadian Shield?
∙ Canadian-made: When Canada was facing a critical PPE shortage, The Canadian Shield answered the call. It's our commitment to bring PPE manufacturing back to Canada for good, ensuring that Canadians have access to effective, affordable and innovative PPE made for and by Canadians.
∙ Affordable: Our PPE products are priced competitively compared to other face shield, semi-reusable and procedural mask alternatives on the market — without sacrificing on domestic labour or materials.
∙ Adjustable: Our products are designed with comfort in mind. Our PPE face shields and semi-reusable face masks both feature unique, adjustable head strap designs, and each of our procedural face masks comes with an added nose stiffener to ensure a form-fit.
∙ Thoughtful Design: PPE is only effective when worn properly — that's why we've designed our face shields, semi-reusable and procedural masks to be lightweight and comfortable for extended wear.
