The Canadian Shield's Semi-Reusable Face Mask is a breathable, 100% polypropylene face mask made of 3-layers of durable non-woven material which can be washed and reused up to 10 times.

The Canadian Shield’s Semi-Reusable Face Mask features the same great full-coverage design and 100% polypropylene non-woven material as traditional medical-grade masks*, but is manufactured with a heavier-weight GSM material.

Compared to regular 3-layer disposable masks with a weight of 75GSM, The Canadian Shield’s Semi-Reusable Face Mask achieves a weight of 125GSM and provides superior filtration efficiency when compared to cotton, polyester or other woven fabric masks.

Each 3-layer mask includes a fully-adjustable elastic head strap to eliminate strain on ears, providing comfortable all-day wear. The unique cord-stopper design and nose bridge stiffener ensure an improved and comfortable fit around the mouth, chin, and nose.

All semi-reusable masks are manufactured in Ontario, Canada with our proprietary automation process to provide the most affordable, high-quality masks for Canadians. Masks come in packages of 5 or 50.

Our Semi-Reusable Face Masks do not contain graphene.

    While The Canadian Shield’s Semi-Reusable Face Masks achieves a BFE/PFE rating of 98% before its first wash, Semi-Reusable masks have NOT been tested to meet ASTM F2100-20 standards. Additionally, different variables including washing detergent, temperature, and extended wear can affect the filtration properties of the mask. The Canadian Shield Semi-Reusable Mask is an Unrated mask and should only be worn within the recommended time period and washed according to the included instructions.


    Semi-Reusable Mask Wash Instructions 

    • Hand or machine-wash, gentle wash settings and the use of a garment bag are recommended
    • Hang to air dry, or tumble dry on low heat settings
    • Do not iron
    • Ensure the mask is completely dry before storing or wearing
    • Avoid touching the mask while wearing it
    • Note the inside and outside of the mask. When worn properly, the pleats on the outside of the mask should point down. The bendable nose bridge indicates the top of the mask.
    • Remove the mask from your face using the head straps without touching the front of the mask
    • Wash your hands for at least 30 seconds with warm water and soap after removing the mask

    Due to the nature of personal protective equipment, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on any purchases of face shields, cloth masks or disposable masks. In the event of receiving damaged product(s), please provide photo evidence of the affected product within 15 days of receiving your order by clicking here, and our customer success team will happily review and send you a replacement(s).

    All orders from The Canadian Shield are fulfilled in 3-5 business days from our facility in Waterloo, Ontario (unless otherwise specified for product pre-orders).
